Job Description
A Physical Therapist is responsible for analyzing patients' conditions, devising tailored treatment blueprints, and executing remedial strategies to enhance functional capabilities. They closely engage with patients to assist them with exercises and methods designed to boost mobility, strength, and flexibility. Additionally, they educate patients on preventive measures for injuries, deliver pain management tactics, and oversee progress throughout the treatment phase. The Physical Therapist assesses and reviews outcomes tied to the evaluation and care plan. This role demands oversight and guidance to perform the crucial job tasks.
Essential Job Function
- Contributes to the assessment of patients' physical skills, medical backgrounds, and functional restrictions in order to devise customized treatment approaches.
- Delivers therapeutic exercises and other interventions in physical therapy to aid in the enhancement of patients' range of motion, flexibility, and muscle strength.
- Instructs patients and their families on therapy procedures, exercises for home use, and self-regulation skills to advance the effectiveness of the recovery process.
- Collaborates with colleagues on formulating and executing discharge plans and proposals for ongoing support.
- Monitors and records the improvement of patients, the outcome of treatments, and reactions to interventions to enable modifications to treatment plans as required.
- Teams up with colleagues from different departments to promote synchronized patient care and comprehensive treatment outcomes.

Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Experience
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy ExaminersBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
