Overview:
A Registered Nurse RN Float is responsible for delivering versatile nursing services across different units and departments as the situation demands. This role involves collaborating with various healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, promoting seamless transitions, and upholding quality benchmarks in diverse clinical scenarios.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently transitions across nursing units and departments, offering comprehensive care and support for different medical circumstances.
Works jointly with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and auxiliary staff members to provide patient-tailored care and ensure seamless communication among departments.
Performs detailed evaluations of patient's health conditions and requirements, adjusting care plans according to individual diagnoses and medical histories.
Quickly responds to emergencies and critical incidents, offering immediate nursing care and assistance to stabilize patients in a timely manner.
Facilitates patient placements, admissions, and transfers, utilizing an understanding of bed allocation and capacity utilization to enhance patient flow within the medical facility.
Takes on additional duties as necessary.

If working in a critical care area, ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider is required.
