Essential Job Function:
- Technologist physicians engage in a dialogue concerning the anatomical region on the patient that necessitates imaging.
- Improves the capacity to guide the patient verbally through the process and address any inquiries to decrease their stress levels and enhance their grasp of the procedure.
- Masters the technique of correctly aligning the patient and calibrating the imaging device to the prescribed setting in order to produce precise images of specific bodily regions.
- Reduces unnecessary radiation exposure for medical professionals and patients alike.
- Follows correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding to ensure adherence to ensure accurate and reliable diagnostic imaging services.
- Aids in the preparation of essential forms for each medical process to secure precise patient records and promote efficient communication within the healthcare team.
- Executes any other responsibilities as delegated.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
