Job Description
Overview:
In the role of the Nursing Technician Float, individuals are expected to move between different areas within healthcare settings to help with patient care in collaboration with nursing and medical teams. This position requires direct oversight to assist in providing exceptional healthcare services to patients.
Responsibilities:
Assist nurses and medical teams in the provision of direct patient care, which encompasses tasks like recording vital signs, procuring specimens, and aiding with daily living needs.
Creates a clean and safe patient setting by following infection control procedures, restocking supplies, and arranging patient rooms in an organized manner.
Ensures accurate and timely recording of patient data in electronic health records, including vital signs, medications administered, and patient observations.
Cooperates with the healthcare team to ensure successful communication and integration of patient care, such as communicating any changes in patient condition to the appropriate personnel.
Involves themselves in ongoing training and professional advancement activities aimed at refining skills in patient care techniques and procedures.
Ensures conformity with all institutional policies, procedures, and protocols to uphold regulatory standards and advance patient safety.
