Overview:
The faculty doctor collaborates with a group to support high-quality patient treatment, exceptional education, and meaningful research. Faculty members have the duty of promoting these three key objectives by carrying out all responsibilities and activities involved in advancing them.
Responsibilities:
Teaching and Education
Offering educational seminars for residents, faculty members, students, and groups which may incorporate Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, Noon Conferences, Medical Student Lectures, Clinical Improvement Conferences, Board Review sessions, and additional activities as deemed appropriate. Guiding medical students, APP students, and residents through mentoring. Delivering clinical oversight to students and residents during their rotations as designated.
Clinical
Deliver healthcare services to patients in different clinical settings as designated.
Academic publications and investigations
Faculty members should motivate and assist residents in engaging in academic pursuits such as submitting abstracts, creating posters, delivering oral presentations, and publishing case reports. It is essential for faculty to create and sustain a culture that promotes exploration and academic study, which involves actively participating in research endeavors. This could entail working together and taking part in research initiatives that have been approved.
Administrative
Engage in necessary or designated committee responsibilities such as THN, CHMG, Graduate Medical Education, Medical Staff, or similar assignments.
Institutional Citizenship
Collaborate within the broader team to enhance accessibility, decrease expenses, elevate standards, and enhance effectiveness while striving for improved health results. This might involve participating in community outreach initiatives and participating in industry gatherings to support in the growth of programs and the establishment of professional connections. Moreover, each staff member is required to focus on punctual and thorough record-keeping, patient contentment, and the satisfaction of referring physicians.
AHEC
Engage in AHEC initiatives as needed to align with the objectives of the NC AHEC Program.

Active NC Medical License
Board certification in specialty
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Valid Driver's License | If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
