Overview:
The Psychiatric Physician at Cone Health has the flexibility to work in different clinical environments, such as inpatient or outpatient settings, on a full-time, part-time, or relief basis. They can also choose to practice at various facilities within the Cone Health system, including the Behavioral Health Hospital, Behavioral Health Unit Crisis Center, and outpatient clinics in Greensboro, Kernersville, Reidsville, and Burlington. The Cone Health Psychiatrist is responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients and fulfilling all clinical duties.
Responsibilities:
Include offering coordination services for multidisciplinary teams within designated areas, offering guidance and mentoring to psychiatry residents and students at Cone Health as required.
The individual exercises independent judgment when diagnosing and treating patients, creating treatment plans, and overseeing the interdisciplinary team (advanced practice providers) to ensure patient care plan goals are met.
They demonstrate and adhere to professional standards defined by MCHS, such as the Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, practice standards, physician expectations, and image standards.
Participation in activities like medical audits, quality improvement programs, investigations, peer reviews, and other inquiries related to professional care standards may be required.
Emphasis is placed on continuously improving practices, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to achieve superior healthcare and service quality, aiming for outcomes in the 90th percentile or higher.
