Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) Per Diem provides high-quality patient care and applies nursing knowledge to ensure effective medical care and positive patient outcomes on a per diem basis. While working under close supervision, this role works collaboratively with the healthcare team and seeks guidance from senior medical professionals to address challenging circumstances to ensure optimal patient care on designated daily shifts.
Essential Job Function:
- Aids in administrative responsibilities, paperwork, and arranging patient appointments to maintain the seamless functioning of healthcare settings.
- Aids in appraising patient data to steer medical determinations, care plans, and interventions.
- Works to implement prescribed medical interventions and treatments with a focus on adhering to protocols and safeguarding patient well-being.
- Improves patient results by facilitating communication and care coordination among the diverse healthcare team.
- Seeks support and advice from seasoned healthcare experts on intricate patient scenarios and demanding medical situations to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
- Undertakes additional duties as mandated.
Education:
- Required: Associate's degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
