Job Description
Overview:
In delivering top-quality patient care, the Registered Nurse (RN) ensures positive patient outcomes by applying nursing expertise in a compassionate and efficient way. With general oversight, this role supports the advancement of professional nursing practice by overseeing patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with diverse healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Reviews patient requirements and health conditions in the designated unit to offer precise nursing care that caters to the individual needs of each patient.
Assesses patient particulars, encompassing medical background, test outcomes, and immediate state, to devise unique nursing care schemes.
Conducts nursing processes, including medication administration and treatments, to deliver optimal patient care.
Verifies the accuracy and compliance of medical records by comparing them with established regulatory requirements and organizational rules.
Observes patient reactions to interventions and determines the necessity for additional interventions to meet defined care objectives.
Collaborates with professionals from different disciplines to create effective strategies for care provision.
Executes other duties as mandated.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
