Overview:
The Occupational Health Supervisor is in charge of managing the day-to-day activities of the occupational health services provided at the medical facility. With minimal oversight, this role ensures the provision of top-notch medical care to staff, advocates for a secure and conducive work atmosphere, and adheres to applicable laws and norms.
Responsibilities:
Ensures patients get assistance with health issues through discussions, recommendations, materials, and adjustments in the workplace as needed to promote health and well-being.
Examining the health requirements of healthcare staff to recognize possible hazards and create plans to reduce them.
Maintains frequent contact with the employee, manager, and medical professionals regarding progress and developing a plan for the employee's prompt return to work, aiming to minimize productivity loss.
Evaluates individuals with short-term health issues and work-related harm or contact and offers treatment or guidance for further medical attention.
Ensures that patient care areas have adequate coverage for occupational health needs, by assigning and adjusting staff schedules to efficiently meet both patient and hospital demands.
Develops and enforces procedures and guidelines for providing occupational health services in accordance with relevant legislation, rules, and optimal standards.
Keeps abreast of current advancements in workplace health to integrate proven methods into service provision.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
