Job Description
The Application Analyst Intermediate provides technical application support for complex clinical and/or business applications in order to improve their overall performance and ensure they are meeting the organization s needs. Working under moderate supervision, this role gathers, analyzes and evaluates user needs, and implements, optimizes, supports, and troubleshoots clinical and/or business applications.
Essential Job Function
- Works in tandem with internal and external technical groups and end-users to confirm that applications and external systems cater to the clinical and business needs of the organization during the system construction and deployment phases.
- Engages in detailed analysis of end user department operations, data collection procedures, report particulars, and technical obstacles in relation to design and construction judgments, involving intricate qualitative and quantitative analysis of gathered data and information during the application requirement identification phase.
- Translates the operational and clinical functions into system configurations and process implementations.
- Drafts and executes test scripts to evaluate the performance of applications, new releases, integrations, and user acceptance.
- Note test outcomes, project blueprints, modification control, system issues, and internal protocols based on departmental criteria.
- Engages in the provision of technical support for complex applications, triaging and resolving issues, as well as monitoring system performance to maintain data integrity and operational effectiveness. Ensures proper escalation of any problems.
- Keeps current on innovative technical concepts and their practical use in healthcare applications.
- Provides aid in the installation and support of systems from third-party providers.
- Has the essential background and understanding to guarantee the integration of all aspects of the application with the other cross-functional applications used by the organization.
- Undertakes additional tasks as appointed.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field.
Experience:
- Required: 2 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse. For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications, must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing within the timeframe specified in the Epic Certification commitment policy.
