Overview:
The faculty doctor collaborates with a group to promote high-quality patient care, effective teaching, and meaningful research. Faculty members are tasked with enhancing these three key aspects by carrying out all necessary responsibilities and actions to support these essential objectives.
Responsibilities:
Teaching and Education
Arranging educational seminars for residents, faculty, students, and groups such as Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, Noon Conferences, Medical Student Lectures, Clinical Improvement Conferences, Board Review sessions, and additional activities as needed. Guiding medical students, APP students, and residents as a mentor. Offering supervision to students and residents during their rotations as required.
Clinical
Offer patient assistance in different clinical settings as designated.
Academic contributions and investigative studies
Faculty members should motivate and back residents in academic endeavors such as submitting abstracts, presenting posters, giving oral presentations, and publishing case reports. It is essential for faculty to create and uphold a culture that fosters curiosity and academic exploration, including engaging in research activities. This involvement may encompass working together and taking part in authorized research initiatives.
Administrative
Participate in necessary or designated committee responsibilities such as THN, CHMG, Graduate Medical Education, Medical Staff, or similar groups. Work with leadership to create fresh rotation or educational opportunities for students and residents.
Institutional Citizenship
Collaborate within a team to enhance accessibility, cut expenses, enhance quality, and encourage efficiency for improved health results. Responsibilities may involve participating in outreach activities, attending industry gatherings to aid in program enhancement, and establishing professional connections. It is crucial for each team member to prioritize maintaining accurate and prompt documentation, ensuring patient contentment, and meeting the expectations of referring physicians.
AHEC
Engage in AHEC initiatives when called upon to align with the objectives of the NC AHEC Program.

Active NC Medical License
Board certification in specialty
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Valid Driver's License | If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
