Job Description
Working closely with supervision, the Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) gives nursing support and aids in assessing patient needs in a clinic setting. Responsibilities include documenting patient information, implementing suggestions, and managing administrative tasks to help in delivering quality patient care.
Essential Job Function:
- Aids medical professionals in administering patient care by organizing examination rooms, collecting vital measurements, documenting patient medical histories, and maintaining patient records.
- Checks healthcare providers' advice, such as medication prescriptions, referrals to specialists, and diagnostic tests, to ensure they are accurate and completed on time.
- Educates and supports patients by explaining treatment plans, medication usage, and post-treatment care instructions, addressing any queries or uncertainties.
- Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments, organizing patient records, managing medical supplies, and supporting billing and insurance processes.
- Helping medical professionals during appointments and clinic visits by offering crucial patient background information to facilitate accurate diagnoses and treatment.
- Accomplishes further responsibilities as given.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and Diploma Practical Nursing.
Experience:
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure, successfully pass NC Nursing Boards for LPN and maintain a current and continuous unrestricted LPN License, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
