Job Description
The Nursing Technician Plus 3 supports the Registered Nurse through observing and documenting patient conditions. Working under close supervision, this role assists with patient support through progressive mobility and assistance with daily tasks as needed.
Essential Job Function:
- Supports patients with performing daily tasks, including meals, personal care, and developing mobility skills to enhance their healing process and treatment plan.
- Analyzes patients' quality of life associated with nutrition, hydration, and excretion to support resource allocation and prepare for patients' anticipated needs.
- Administers the entry, relocation, and release of patients to facilitate their placement in appropriate environments in accordance with their care regimen.
- Supports patients by addressing their elimination needs, including ostomy care, enema administration, and the use of condom catheters to ensure their comfort and well-being.
- Supports the adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals by helping to manage unit inventories of supplies and equipment for a clean and safe environment.
- Ensuring that patients with a high risk of falling have been supplied with the necessary armbands, socks, and notifications to secure their physical well-being.
- Undertakes supplementary tasks as required.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Required: 6 months of related experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider; Nurse Aide Certification required.
