FTE: 1 (40 hours/week)

EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have prior clinical experience, especially in pediatrics, to enhance their qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Carries out detailed physical examinations on patients, assesses their medical histories, and interprets diagnostic results to offer suitable treatment for patients' healthcare needs.
- Offers preventive health screenings tailored to each patient's age, medical background, and specific health demands to deliver proactive care.
- Delivers knowledge to patients and their families concerning specialty medical conditions, treatment modalities, and follow-up care.
- Records all aspects of patient care to guarantee the correctness of their medical information.
- Conducts specialized healthcare procedures according to department guidelines and clinical obligations in both hospital and outpatient medical facilities.
- Identifies methods to enhance specialty care in both inpatient and outpatient settings by assessing, troubleshooting, and evaluating clinical and systemic concerns.
- Executes any other responsibilities as instructed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: None
Preferred: 3+ years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA license
- Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
- Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers
- IVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
