Job Description
The Pharmacist II prepares and gives prescribed medications to patients, educates them about their treatments, supervises pharmacy technicians, and works under the pharmacist manager’s guidance.
Essential Job Function
- Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient.
- Oversees and verifies prescription order entry, packaging and dispensing.
- Shares and tracks information about medications with healthcare providers, patients, and the community.
- Helps oversee and review pharmacy technicians and provides other clinical support to ensure patient care.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: Doctor of Pharmacy or BSPharm
Experience
- Required: 3 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hireBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
