Essential Job Function:
- Examining and managing a wide range of diagnoses and intricate patient conditions.
- Undertakes in-depth evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, medical pasts, and functional restrictions in order to devise customized treatment plans.
- Delivers interventions such as therapeutic exercises and other physical therapy techniques to help patients increase their strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
- Instructs patients and their loved ones on the recommended therapies, physical activities, and self-regulation practices to advance the healing process.
- Cooperates with colleagues to develop and carry out discharge strategies and suggestions for further care.
- Tracks and registers the development of patients, the outcomes of therapies, and reactions to interventions to enable the adaptation of treatment plans when necessary.
- Collaborates with teams across different departments to ensure synchronized patient care and well-rounded treatment effects.
- Aids in acquainting and instructing new personnel, displays a consistent dedication to enhancing the competency and expertise of team members.
- Executes tasks given beyond the regular scope of work.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Experience
- Required: 2 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
