Job Description
Overview:
The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) involves delivering quality patient care and ensuring positive patient outcomes by applying nursing knowledge in a caring and efficient manner. Working under broad supervision, this position promotes professional nursing practice by organizing patient care through the nursing process and teamwork with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates patient requirements and conditions within the allocated department to deliver nursing care effectively, ensuring each patient receives the proper attention.
- Scrutinizes patient records, which include medical history, diagnostic results, and current state, to develop personalized nursing care plans.
- Facilitates nursing processes, such as drug administration and treatments, to provide holistic and efficient patient care.
- Verifies the accuracy and conformity of medical documents with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.
- Analyzes the patient's response to interventions and identifies supplementary interventions essential to meet predefined care goals.
- Collaborates with experts from various fields to enhance care plan effectiveness.
- Undertakes any other tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:Required:
Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:Required:
1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
