Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides top-notch patient care and guarantees favorable patient results through the caring and effective use of nursing expertise. Working under broad oversight, this position boosts professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with various disciplines.
Essential Job Function:
- Evaluates the needs and medical situations of patients on the unit to administer nursing services that meet the specific care demands of each patient.
- Reviews patient details, including past medical background, diagnostic outcomes, and existing state, to formulate customized nursing strategies.
- Designs nursing protocols, including the delivery of medications and interventions, to deliver holistic and impactful patient services.
- Matches medical records to ensure they are accurate and compliant with industry regulations and company policies.
- Reviews the way patients respond to interventions and recognizes the necessity for additional interventions to fulfill care goals.
- Engages with a multidisciplinary group to facilitate comprehensive care planning.
- Undertakes supplementary responsibilities as instructed.
Education
- Required: Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
