Job Description
Pharmacy Technician Retail/Specialty plays a supportive role in ensuring prescription dispensing and patient care are conducted with quality and safety. This position works closely with the lead technician to manage inventory levels, ensuring that the pharmacy is well-equipped for its operations.
Essential Job Function
- Receives and reviews new medication prescriptions and refill requests submitted by clients for validation.
- Manages incoming calls by sorting and addressing patient concerns in order to provide top-notch medical attention.
- Supports pharmacists in the preparation of medications through prescription organization and labeling.
- Offers prescription drugs to customers in need of medical assistance.
- Ensures high-quality customer service for each individual receiving care.
- Executes any other responsibilities as instructed.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Required: 1 year
