Job Description
In the role of Nursing Technician Float, the main task is to provide support across different departments and units whenever needed. This position works closely with nurses and medical teams to ensure the delivery of outstanding healthcare services to patients.
Essential Job Function:
- Collaborate with nurses and healthcare staff to provide direct patient care, which may involve checking vital signs, collecting samples, and assisting with everyday tasks.
- Safeguards a clean and secure patient environment by following infection control measures, restocking supplies, and arranging patient rooms appropriately.
- Logs patient information in electronic health records without delays, encompassing vital signs, medications administered, and patient observations noted during the appointment.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to maintain open communication and coordinate patient care efficiently, including promptly reporting any changes in the patient's condition to the appropriate team members.
- Takes part in continuous training and professional advancement activities to enhance expertise in patient care methods and procedures.
- Abides by all organizational policies, procedures, and protocols to guarantee regulatory compliance and boost patient safety.
- Undertake tasks beyond regular responsibilities.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Required: None
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: NC CNA license and BLS.
