Job Description
The Pharmacist II at an Outpatient Retail Specialty Clinic is responsible for dispensing medications prescribed to patients in a community setting. This role also involves educating patients, managing pharmacy technicians, and working under the supervision of a pharmacist manager.
Essential Job Function:
- Understands and complies with the instructions given by the doctor to ensure the right care is given to the right patient.
- Manages the oversight and validation of prescription order entry, packaging, and dispensing.
- Offers and tracks medication utilization and drug-related information for healthcare professionals, patients, and the community.
- Helps in supervising and evaluating pharmacy technicians and offers additional clinical services as needed to promote patient well-being.
- Executes supplementary assignments as instructed.
Education
- Required: Doctor of Pharmacy or BSPharm
Experience
- Required: 3 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hireBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
