Job Description
The Senior Cloud Engineer's primary duty involves supervising the development and maintenance of the enterprise's cloud-centric infrastructure to promote efficient and secure operations. Operating independently, they ascertain that the cloud-based systems are functioning effectively and are tailored to meet the organization's demands.
Essential Job Function
- Supervises projects and development initiatives connected to the organizational cloud framework that sustains applications and infrastructure across IaaS and PaaS channels.
- Ensures the effective implementation of cloud solutions tailored to meet the organization's present needs.
- Assesses cloud-based hardware, software, and applications to verify data security measures and the integration of security management and privacy standards.
- Examines cloud infrastructure data tests with specialized infrastructure tools and technologies to ensure seamless support for multiple cloud platforms.
- Provides support for the team in tackling complex security issues within the cloud infrastructure.
- Keeps abreast of recent developments in cloud solutions, technological innovations, and industry standards.
- Administers the advancement, maintenance, and detailing of Disaster Recovery measures for hybrid cloud tasks.
- Guarantees the implementation of regulations and optimal methodologies for delivering cost-efficient cloud services.
- Engages with various IT teams and project groups to deliver support, implementation, and design advice for cloud workloads.
- Executes any other responsibilities as delegated.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
Experience
- Required: 5 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Cloud Architect Certificate
