Overview:
As a Nurse Technician Observer, your main responsibility is to observe and record the condition of patients to aid the Registered Nurse. Working in close proximity to the patients, this position offers assistance in daily tasks and progressive mobility. This position is paramount in ensuring the safety of patients who may pose a risk to themselves.
Responsibilities:
Assists patients in their daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal grooming and mobility exercises to aid in their recovery and support their care plan.
Evaluates the well-being of patients in terms of their nourishment, hydration, and elimination to allocate resources and predict their requirements.
Patients are admitted, transferred, or discharged to ensure they are receiving care that aligns with their treatment plan.
Offers support for patients' elimination needs that include the management of ostomy, the provision of enemas, and the application of condom catheters to ensure that they receive optimal comfort while under care.
Maintaining an inventory of supplies and equipment is essential to ensure a hygienic and safe environment for patients as per the National Patient Safety Goals.
Patients at risk of falling will be provided with appropriate identification armbands, socks, and signage to ensure their physical safety.
Undertakes additional tasks as deemed necessary or assigned.

BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider. Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required.
