Job Description
Overview:
Responsibilities of the Patient Access Lead include organizing and overseeing the daily workflow and timetable of the patient access team members. They are accountable for providing recommendations on daily procedures and staffing matters to the Patient Access Supervisor. With minimal oversight, this position handles overseeing staffing requirements, analyzing crucial performance metrics, ensuring quality assurance practices, and fulfilling other designated duties.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily activities of the patient access area (Admission or ED) to ensure department standards are met which includes staffing levels for daily assignments and is accountable and participates in the registration workflow.
- Assists the supervisor with onboarding fresh staff members and educating employees on any essential role-related modifications.
- Receives deposits and copayments and tracks the performance indicators according to the established goals; submits the mandatory daily reports.
- Supports in resolving patient grievances and exhibits awareness of the occurrence reporting system, employing it to log potential safety hazards.
- Helps the Supervisor in monitoring and enforcing adherence to personnel department policies and procedures.
- Acts as a stand-in supervisor and updates the supervisor on any relevant issues in their absence.
- Offers exceptional customer support through the use of Relationship Based Care to support safety, patient preferences, and efficient communication by cooperating with patients, family members, and team members, as well as all internal and external partners.
- Undertakes further obligations as instructed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 3 years
