Overview:
Supervising pharmacy staff, the Pharmacy Supervisor ensures the proper compounding, storage, and dispensing of prescription drugs, upholding safety and regulatory standards. They actively participate in establishing and refining operational and clinical procedures within the pharmacy, guaranteeing staff compliance and proficiency.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the pharmacy department's daily functions by assigning work duties, coordinating staff schedules, and assessing employee performance.
Assists customers with challenging requests for information related to pharmacy services, such as drug delivery and medication details.
Directs vital operations to ensure inventory upkeep while also overseeing the transportation of medications and supplies for patient care.
Maintains detailed documentation and analysis of drug usage and stock levels, aiming to identify opportunities for cost-saving measures in pharmaceutical procurement. Furthermore, oversees the inventory of regulated substances and medications necessitating strict security protocols.
Executes supplementary responsibilities as necessary or mandated.
