Overview:
The Associate Residency Program Director (ARPD) plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management and functioning of the residency/fellowship program under the guidance of the Residency Program Director (RPD). Responsibilities include overseeing program operations, educational activities, recruitment processes, performance evaluations, disciplinary procedures, and resident/fellow training within the clinical setting. The ARPD collaborates closely with the RPD to ensure the effective organization, execution, and oversight of the training program.
Responsibilities:
Execute continual clinical tasks with a standard that demonstrates the utmost quality of care and professionalism.
Support in managing and upkeeping a learning setting that promotes the training of residents/fellows across all Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Competency areas.
Help the Police Department enforce departmental and institutional rules and regulations through effective communication with faculty, residents, fellows, and staff.
Provide support to ensure adherence and collaboration with all regulatory bodies and oversight entities, such as Cone Health, the ACGME, the pertinent Review Committee, the North Carolina Medical Board, the Federal Government, the Office of Graduate Medical Education, the GME Committee, and other necessary organizations essential for the continued operation of the residency/fellowship.

Required:
Must have or be eligible for NC Medical License.
Must have or be eligible for Cone Health Medical Staff credentialing.
Must include either current certification or eligibility by an ABMS or AOA specialty board.
Must maintain current certification in the specialty for which they are the APD by the appropriate ABMS or AOA specialty board.
