Job Description
A Registered Nurse (RN) administers excellent patient care, aiming for positive patient results through the empathetic and effective utilization of nursing expertise. This role functions under broad supervision to encourage professional nursing standards by arranging patient care with the nursing process and teamwork across disciplines.
Essential Job Function:
- Evaluates the needs and medical conditions of patients within the assigned unit to administer nursing care efficiently and effectively, guaranteeing that all patients receive the suitable and direct care they require.
- Reviews patient details, which consist of past medical background, test outcomes, and existing health status, to formulate customized nursing strategies.
- Organizes nursing protocols, including dispensing medications and interventions, to offer holistic and efficient patient support.
- Aligns medical documentation to comply with both regulatory standards and organizational guidelines.
- Examines the way patients respond to interventions and pinpoints any additional actions required to achieve the specified care objectives.
- Works together with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to facilitate comprehensive care planning.
- Engages in other responsibilities as designated.
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
