Overview:
As a Specials Recovery Registered Nurse, responsibilities extend to coordinating patient care for individuals spanning various age brackets. This position involves working with moderate supervision to identify and meet patient needs by administering top-notch care aligned with each patient's unique care regimen. The primary focus of this role encompasses overseeing the pre-treatment, treatment, and post-treatment care and recovery for specialized patients treated at the center.
Responsibilities:
Watches over patients in a specialized recuperation space and evaluates their progress to guarantee a safe recuperation process and pinpoint any potential difficulties or concerns.
Dispenses prescribed medications and therapies in accordance with physician instructions to maintain accurate patient care.
Engages with other healthcare professionals to secure positive patient outcomes and to guarantee patients receive synchronized and all-encompassing care from every member of the healthcare team.
Checks patient care documentation processes to maintain precise and thorough medical records.
It is crucial to maintain and have an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies in the special recovery room to ensure their functionality and availability.
Asks for input from senior management on complex special recovery treatment strategies and other challenges that necessitate a deeper level of understanding.
Executes any other responsibilities as delegated.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associates Degree
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 3 years as a Registered Nurse and 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
- Cardiac Specialty Experience and 2 years of telemetry, ED, PCU, or ICU experience.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
ACLS required within 6 months of hire
