Job Description
Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering excellent patient care and achieving positive patient results through the skilled and compassionate application of nursing principles. Under the general oversight, this position enhances the practice of professional nursing by orchestrating patient care through the nursing process and collaborative interactions with various healthcare disciplines.
Essential Job Function:
- Analyzes patient needs and situations in order to administer nursing care effectively in the designated unit, ensuring that each patient is provided with the direct and suitable care they require.
- Assesses patient details, comprising past medical background, test outcomes, and existing health state, to formulate customized nursing care blueprints.
- Administers nursing protocols like medication distribution and therapies in order to deliver holistic and impactful patient support.
- Compares medical records to regulatory standards and organizational policies to guarantee precision and adherence.
- Examining the effectiveness of interventions on patients and recognizing the requirement for supplementary interventions to fulfill specific care objectives.
- Partners with a variety of disciplines in developing comprehensive care plans.
- Executes any other assigned responsibilities.
Education:
- Required: Associate's degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state.
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
