Overview:
The Clinic Radiologic Technologist is responsible for conducting medical exams through the use of X-rays or other diagnostic imaging methods in order to produce images of specific body parts for diagnosis and disease monitoring. The obtained images are further examined by a physician for proper analysis. Under close supervision, the role entails preparing patients for the exams, positioning them accurately, operating the equipment, and applying their expertise to lessen the amount of radiation exposure to the patient.
Responsibilities:
Complies with requests from medical professionals concerning the specific body part that requires imaging.
Explain the procedure to the patient in detail and address any concerns or questions they may have to alleviate their anxiety and improve their comprehension of the process.
The patient is positioned accurately and the imaging equipment is adjusted to the appropriate settings to capture high-quality images of targeted areas of the body.
Minimizes unnecessary radiation exposure, both for the healthcare professional and the patient.
Adherence to proper techniques and procedures, including the use of patient shielding, is crucial for ensuring accurate and dependable diagnostic imaging services.
The completion of necessary paperwork for every treatment is crucial to maintain accurate medical records and enhance effective communication between healthcare professionals.
