Job Description
Overview:
The primary duty of the Registered Nurse (RN) involves delivering high-quality patient care and securing positive patient outcomes by skillfully applying nursing knowledge with empathy and effectiveness. With general oversight, this role supports professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaborative partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses patient conditions and requirements in the designated unit in order to provide tailored nursing care that meets the needs of each patient effectively.
- Evaluates patient data, involving medical background, diagnostic findings, and present condition, to formulate personalized nursing care plans.
- Administers nursing methodologies like medication delivery and therapies to ensure comprehensive and efficient patient care.
- Checks and confirms the precision and compliance of medical records with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Gauging the effectiveness of interventions on patients and recognizing the need for supplementary actions to meet the defined care objectives.
- Joins forces with an interdisciplinary team of caregivers to enhance care plan effectiveness.
- Undertakes any additional duties as instructed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
