Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) Per Diem provides high-quality patient care and applies nursing knowledge to guarantee efficient medical care and positive patient outcomes on a per diem basis. Working under close supervision, this position collaborates with the healthcare team and seeks guidance from senior medical professionals to handle challenging circumstances and ensure excellent patient care during designated daily shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitates patient assessments, examinations, and treatments to aid in delivering comprehensive and individualized patient care daily.
- Assists with analyzing patient records to inform medical decisions, treatment schedules, and interventions.
- Collaborates with healthcare providers to carry out prescribed medical interventions and treatments with a focus on strict adherence to protocols for patient safety.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes through improved communication and care coordination.
- Requests guidance and advice from experienced healthcare professionals on complex patient cases and challenging medical situations in order to ensure optimal patient care.
- Completes extra responsibilities as mandated.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
1 year as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
