Overview:
Functioning as the RN Float System Wide entails contributing to the coordination of patient care across different age groups. With close monitoring, this role involves assisting in the documentation of patient records through the admission database and continuous patient evaluation. Being able to cater to patients in distinct departments when necessary is a significant requirement, along with the obligation to travel between hospital sites.
Responsibilities:
Assists in evaluating patient needs and helps in devising appropriate care strategies to ensure patients receive the most relevant medical care and social services within the designated department.
Administers social work services to patients and their families by providing counseling and support to equip them with the emotional and social sustenance necessary to handle their medical ailments.
Documents the care provided to patients and ensures that the medical records are accurate and complete.
Assists the designated department and medical staff members as needed to ensure effective and efficient coverage for all healthcare team members.
Recommends healthcare resources and options to help patients and their families gain the necessary insight to make informed decisions about their care and to effectively access the healthcare resources that are available.
Completes supplementary duties as instructed.

Required:
Drivers license and Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state, Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) through American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
