Registered Nurses (RNs) play a crucial role in delivering top-notch patient care and securing successful patient results by skillfully and compassionately utilizing their nursing knowledge. They operate under broad supervision to support the development of professional nursing procedures by orchestrating patient care through the nursing process and collaborative efforts with different specialists.

Essential Job Function:

• Evaluates, devises strategies, executes, records, arranges, prioritizes, assigns, oversees, and synchronizes the healthcare provision for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations in accordance with the NC Nurse Practice Act.
• Administers healthcare through the nursing path to manage, execute, and assess healthcare measures. Acquires and reviews patient and important other data.
• Records and updates admission information and conducts regular assessments in partnership with patients, their loved ones, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Creates a personalized patient care plan, incorporating clinical pathways as needed, and adjusts it to cater to the specific needs of patients and their loved ones.
• Detects discrepancies and adapts the care plan by evaluating its effectiveness and nursing interventions.
• Maintains and revises the care plan, nursing interventions, and patient's response to treatment, while ensuring the healthcare team, patients, and important others are kept up to date.
• Contributes to the discharge plan by recognizing the essential homecare needs. Identifies alterations in patients' conditions and makes appropriate revisions to the care plan.
• Exhibits proficient skills and strategic thinking in daily work. Recognizes and fulfills the educational needs of patients and important individuals.
• Forms nurturing and therapeutic bonds within the nurse or healthcare team with patients and their significant others.
• Acknowledges communication obstacles, identifies available options, and creates strategies for addressing communication barriers.

Acceptance into Cone Health New Graduate program or completion of an acute care new graduate program.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

REQUIRED RN | Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compact state. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider PREFERRED The following certifications are preferred and may be required within a certain timeframe of hire as defined by the specific nursing unit. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Safe Training and Responsible Restraints (STARR)
