Overview:
Introduces, keeps up with and fixes gear and hardware frameworks to guarantee proficient and safe working circumstances. carries out specific tasks related to the upkeep and repair of numerous facilities' systems as assigned. A comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is required. If necessary, must be able to perform on-call duties for the entire facility. The timetable for this position is Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm, however adaptable when required
Responsibilities:
- Conducts regular equipment inspection tours. Detects any areas of concern or problematic zones. Implements necessary measures for repairs or corrective actions.
- Demonstrates expertise in performing corrective maintenance requests and/or floor services (zone mechanic) with minimal assistance, completing the work efficiently and accurately.
- Displays adeptness in performing preventative maintenance checks with precision and promptness with minimal support and guidance. Employs the appropriate devices and gear.
- Displays an understanding of N.F.P.A. 101, Life Safety Code and N.F.P.A. 99, Chapters 7-5 and 7-6, along with adhering to current professional standards set by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations Environment of Care.
- Displays familiarity with the hospital and departmental contingency plans for emergency situations, such as issues with water, electricity, gas or sewage systems, disasters that may occur inside or outside, protocols regarding fire procedures, and so on.
- Displays expertise in repairing both mobile and stationary machinery, including but not limited to tube systems, wheelchairs, stretchers, and doors that are both automatic and fixed.
- Shows compliance with safety standards and maintains a hygienic, organized, and operational workspace and equipment.
- Delivers punctual, legible, accurate, and comprehensive records on time cards, work orders, PMs, estimates, and the like. Participates in daily workshops meetings at the start and conclusion of the shift and directs a gathering during the week of standby assignments, if necessary.

- High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Associates Degree in one or more trades.
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 5 years maintenance/construction related experience
Preferred:
- 5 years of hospital related maintenance experience
