Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes through the compassionate and efficient application of nursing knowledge. Working under general supervision, this role promotes professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates the health conditions and care necessities of patients within the designated unit to provide nursing assistance that is tailored to each individual's unique medical needs.
Reviews patient profiles, diagnostic data, and existing health condition to create personalized nursing care outlines.
Conducts nursing processes like medication administration and therapies to provide thorough patient care.
Ensures the accuracy and regulatory compliance of medical records by cross-referencing and reviewing.
Assesses patient reactions to treatments and recognizes the need for additional interventions to achieve defined care goals.
Partners with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to create comprehensive care plans.
Carries out additional tasks as requested.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
