Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-caliber patient care and ensuring positive patient outcomes through the empathetic and proficient application of nursing knowledge. Operating under general guidance, this role supports the advancement of professional nursing practices by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with various team members.
Essential Job Function
- Evaluates patient requirements and health status within the assigned unit to offer personalized nursing care that is directly catered to each patient’s specific needs.
- Analyzes patient data, which encompasses medical history, test findings, and current condition, to design individualized nursing care strategies.
- Develops nursing techniques that include medication administration and therapies to deliver comprehensive and successful patient care.
- Validates medical documents to guarantee accuracy and alignment with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Analyzes patient reactions to interventions and recognizes any further actions necessary to reach predetermined care objectives.
- Works jointly with interdisciplinary care providers to organize effective care plans.
- Executes tasks beyond the regular responsibilities.
Education:
- Required: Associate's degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state.
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
