Overview:
The Audiologist II is responsible for evaluating and recognizing individuals who have or are vulnerable to hearing and auditory processing issues in order to prevent impairment and help them achieve their best level of functioning. They offer education to patients and their families and pinpoint further support or therapy options by liaising with the referring healthcare provider and the healthcare team. This role might involve needing support or advice in challenging scenarios and face challenges when providing services in different environments.
Responsibilities:
Assesses and manages a wide range of diagnoses and intricate cases.
Evaluates patients comprehensively by considering their physical capabilities, medical background, and limitations in order to create personalized therapy programs.
Evaluates the kind, extent, balance, firmness, and arrangement of auditory impairment.
Delivers diagnostic audiology services to both children and adults, devising treatment strategies to address and manage hearing and auditory processing issues.
Utilizes suitable methods and tools to deliver thorough assessment and therapy to both hospitalized and non-hospitalized individuals showing signs of, vulnerable to, or diagnosed with hearing impairments.
Offers comprehensive education to patients, their families, and caregivers throughout the patient's treatment plan.
Works together with others to create and execute plans for discharge and suggestions for ongoing treatment.
Observes and records patients' development, healing results, and reactions to treatments to enable modifications to treatment strategies as necessary.
Works together with interdisciplinary teams from various departments to guarantee integrated patient care and comprehensive treatment results.
Executes additional tasks as required.
