Overview
A committed RN is responsible for delivering excellent patient care and achieving favorable outcomes by utilizing comprehensive nursing knowledge. In addition to demonstrating care through compassion and efficacy, this role coordinates healthcare through collaborative efforts with other clinicians.
Responsibilities
The assessment of patient requirements and their medical state is vital to providing nursing care on the assigned unit, guaranteeing that each patient's care is customized and appropriate.
Provides personalized nursing care plans by analyzing patients' medical histories and diagnostic results, ensuring all their healthcare needs are met.
Implements nursing techniques like drug delivery and remedial measures to ensure optimum patient well-being.
Ensures that medical records are complete and adhere to industry regulations and organizational policies.
Assesses how patients react to interventions and determines whether further interventions are necessary to achieve their care objectives.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary specialists to ensure optimal care delivery.
Executes additional responsibilities as directed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE:
Registered Nursing experience of at least one year mandatory
Prospective candidates must have one year of experience in a defined clinical specialty as established by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
The ability to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or any state that is part of the Compact state agreement is a great opportunity for healthcare professionals
Ultimately, the choice between taking the BLS-CPR course offered by the American Red Cross or the Healthcare Provider course offered by the AHA will depend on your specific needs and goals, such as whether you work in healthcare or simply want to be prepared for emergencies in everyday life
