As a Cardiac Sonographer Registered Outpatient II, you will conduct cardiac ultrasound exams with oversight from the department supervisor. The primary focus of this role is ensuring patient safety, accommodating patient preferences, and maintaining clear communication. Collaboration with patients, their families, coworkers, and external partners is essential to provide precise cardiac evaluations, patient-focused treatment, and successful results.
Responsibilities:
Conducts regular and specialized tests in accordance with predetermined procedures while maintaining high diagnostic accuracy.
Examining test results and effectively relaying conclusions to cardiologists ensures accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, fostering smooth cooperation between sonographers and cardiologists.
Manages, diagnoses issues with, and seeks maintenance for all examination tools to guarantee precise and dependable examination outcomes and enhance the well-being of patients and streamline operations.
Keeps up-to-date with professional and CPR certifications to comply with industry norms and guarantee preparedness for addressing potential cardiac emergencies.
Administers IV placement and upholds IV proficiency through annual assessments.
Administers prescribed image-enhancing substance to improve the echocardiogram's visual clarity.
It is necessary to fulfill four challenging tasks as specified in the career advancement plan set by the department.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 3 years of experience
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Licensure Section: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular credentialing International (CCI); BLS (CPR)- American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare provider.
Meets 4 of the Career Ladder requirements as outlined by departmental career ladder.
