Job Description
Overview:
The LPN Hospital assists the Registered Nurse or healthcare professional in a hospital environment to deliver top-notch patient care. With careful oversight, this position is responsible for creating and executing care plans within the hospital and setting up tools for procedures throughout the hospital systems.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the care team involves gathering patient history and medical details to ensure comprehensive case documentation is recorded in hospital medical records.
Supports in creating and executing care strategies as instructed by the Registered Nurse or medical professional to address the requirements of patients receiving treatment in a medical facility.
Guarantees adherence to Cone Health guidelines for maintaining sterile conditions by incorporating correct procedures and safety measures.
Communicating healthcare instructions to patients and their families is crucial for ensuring that information regarding the care plan is effectively conveyed.
Helps in addressing emergencies and safety risks by using protective gear and medical protocols to prevent harm to patients.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Practical Nursing; Completion of Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required within 4 years of hire.
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- None; New LPN Graduates must be accepted into the Cone Health LPN Academy
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Current LPN license in North Carolina; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
