Overview:
The Financial Patient Accounts Lead oversees and manages the daily operations and timetables of the Patient Accounting team, providing input on procedures and personnel to the Patient Accounting Manager. This position is responsible for upholding productivity and quality standards, as well as presenting outcomes to the manager along with recommendations for improvements.
Responsibilities:
Supports the Manager in supervising the daily operations of the patient accounting department to uphold standards, such as managing staffing levels for daily tasks, and takes responsibility for and engages in necessary workflow procedures.
Oversees reviews of accounts receivable procedures to evaluate adherence, efficiency, and precision of fees before generating invoices.
Ensuring that all patient fees and activities are accurately categorized and recorded for each individual within the specified timeframe.
Authorizes the write-off or collection of accounts and finalizes the required documentation for further account handling.
Supports the manager in overseeing departmental objectives, offering proactive recommendations to meet financial targets, taking responsibility for specific initiatives, and managing high volumes of work to prevent backlog.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
