Overview:
Responsibilities of the Nursing Technician Float include moving between departments and units based on staffing needs. This position involves assisting nurses and medical professionals in providing exceptional healthcare services to patients while being closely supervised.
Responsibilities:
- Help nurses and healthcare providers in administering direct patient care by performing tasks like monitoring vital signs, procuring specimens, and helping with daily living routines.
- Preserves a hygienic and protected patient milieu by enforcing stringent infection control practices, replenishing supplies as needed, and maintaining the organization within patient rooms.
- Ensures accurate and timely input of patient information into electronic health records, such as vital signs, medications dispensed, and observed patient behaviors.
- Engages with the healthcare team to ensure smooth communication and coordination of patient care, including informing the relevant personnel about any changes in the patient's condition.
- Participates in continual learning opportunities and skill enhancement activities to elevate knowledge and abilities in patient care methodologies.
- Abides by all established guidelines within the organization to adhere to regulatory standards and prioritize patient safety.
