Overview:
Under the close supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Nursing Technician is responsible for monitoring and documenting patient well-being. This role involves helping patients improve their mobility and aiding them with daily activities.
Responsibilities:
Supports individuals with their daily activities, such as meal provision, personal grooming, and progressive movement to aid in their recovery and treatment regimen.
Assesses patient's quality of life in terms of nutrition, hydration, and excretion to distribute resources appropriately and anticipate patient requirements.
Coordinates the admission, transfer, and discharge activities to appropriately shift patients according to the care plan.
Helps with clinical processes, including monitoring blood glucose levels, recording vital signs, performing EKG tests, applying restraints, and addressing elimination needs to provide patients with attentive and compassionate care.
Helps in managing unit inventories for supplies and medical tools to promote cleanliness and safety standards as outlined in the National Patient Safety Goals.
Validates the use of suitable wristbands, socks, and signs for patients who are prone to falls in order to safeguard their physical well-being.
Helps in registering all clinical procedures, patient interactions, and medicine applications to secure a detailed patient record.
Responds promptly to delegation from registered nurse staff and shares patient observations to ensure efficient collaboration.
Undertakes any other duties that may be assigned.

Required:
Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
