Overview:
The Congregational Nurse plays a vital role in the clinic setting, catering to the health and wellness needs of the wider community by tackling inequalities. This position operates with oversight and is dedicated to fostering the well-being of congregants and the public by offering both physical and spiritual healthcare services.
Responsibilities:
Helps members of the community locate a primary healthcare professional to facilitate their access to medical services.
Assists in promoting the well-being of individuals by offering personal health counseling for the creation of tailored care strategies.
Identifies differences in health outcomes, such as access to transportation, housing, and food, to address barriers hindering individuals from enhancing their overall well-being.
Enhances the understanding and awareness of individuals on disease prevention, management, medications, and healthcare systems through educational initiatives.
Plan health screenings and community fairs as well as flu vaccination clinics to promote wellness among the local population.
Conducts screenings and evaluations like monitoring blood pressure and blood glucose levels to detect possible health issues for medical intervention.
Offers spiritual support by engaging in prayer and attentive listening to promote a well-rounded way of life.
Executes additional tasks as necessary or designated.
