Overview:
A key responsibility of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to administer high-caliber patient care and ensure positive patient results by compassionately and efficiently applying nursing expertise. While under general guidance, this position enhances professional nursing standards by organizing patient care through the nursing process and engaging in interdisciplinary teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Analyzes the patient needs and health conditions on the assigned unit as a basis for delivering nursing care that is individualized and comprehensive in addressing their medical requirements.
Analyzes patient data, which includes medical background details, test outcomes, and current state of health, to design customized nursing care plans.
Performs nursing procedures including medication administration and treatments to provide quality patient care.
Authenticates the information in medical documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Observes how patients react to treatments and recognizes any extra interventions required to reach specified care goals.
Collaborates with a range of healthcare specialists to devise holistic care plans.
Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
