Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes through the compassionate and efficient application of nursing knowledge. Working under general supervision, this role promotes professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Essential Job Function:
- Assesses patient needs and conditions in the assigned unit to deliver nursing care that is tailored to meet individual needs.
- Evaluates patient information, including medical records, test outcomes, and existing condition, to develop personalized nursing care plans.
- Performs nursing responsibilities like providing medications and therapies to offer holistic and impactful patient care.
- Cross-references medical records with regulatory standards and organizational policies to confirm accuracy and adherence.
- Observes the patient's response to treatments and identifies any additional interventions required to accomplish the specified care objectives.
- Partners with a multi-disciplinary team to establish coherent care plans.
- Carries out supplementary responsibilities as directed.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
