Job Description
Overview:
The duty of the Registered Nurse (RN) involves providing high-caliber patient care and securing positive patient outcomes through the empathetic and proficient application of nursing expertise. With oversight, this position fosters professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaborative efforts with various healthcare specialties.
Responsibilities:
Reviews patient requirements and health conditions in the designated unit to offer precise nursing care that caters to the individual needs of each patient.
Inspects patient information, which may include medical records, diagnostic results, and current state, to create individualized nursing care blueprints.
Implements nursing processes, such as medication administration and treatments, to provide thorough and efficient patient care.
Verifies the precision and compliance of medical records with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Examines patient reactions to interventions and recognizes any further interventions needed to achieve specified care objectives.
Participates in team-based care planning to enhance the quality of patient care.
Executes other duties as mandated.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
