Overview:
The Manager Capacity oversees and enhances the distribution of nursing resources, ensuring optimal allocation to maximize efficiency. This position involves supervising nurse staffing, guaranteeing the effective utilization of resources, and upholding superior patient care standards. Working closely with nurse managers and schedulers, the role includes predicting patient needs, adjusting staff levels accordingly, and rectifying any imbalances in staffing. Performance indicators are closely monitored, improvement strategies are implemented, and adherence to regulations and standards is ensured. The Capacity Manager is instrumental in upholding a well-equipped and streamlined healthcare setting, ultimately enhancing the provision of outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with the Patient Placement and Administrative Coordinator to optimize system procedures for enhancing patient care efficiency.
Examines patient population statistics, requirements for inpatient beds, and existing resources to ensure the delivery of secure patient services.
Ensures that personnel comprehend and adhere to regulatory standards. Evaluates patient flow challenges across the hospital to gauge their influence on patient safety.
Analyzing metrics is used to ensure resources are allocated cost-effectively and to drive value.
Conducts daily meetings on campus to prioritize and evaluate patient flow, capacity adjustments, and strategic bed management.
Helps with campus programs to streamline patient flow.
Backs nursing and interdepartmental leadership in creating streamlined and secure systems and procedures to ensure seamless patient flow.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
