JOB SUMMARY:
To deliver patient care with a focus on safety and proven effectiveness.
EDUCATION:
A Master's Degree from a recognized Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program is a mandatory prerequisite
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Candidates with one year of clinical experience in the role of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant are preferred, although applicants with comparable experience as an inpatient Advanced Practice Provider will also be taken into account.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Basic Life Support (BLS) training for healthcare providers is commonly known as AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Possession of a valid license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of North Carolina is required

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Conducts evaluations of the patient's physical condition, examines their medical background, and analyzes the findings of medical tests to administer appropriate care for the individual.
Administers preventative health check-ups tailored to the individual's age, medical background, and specific requirements to offer early intervention health services.
Provides information to patients and their loved ones regarding health issues, therapy, and post-care.
Keeps a log of all patient treatment to verify precise patient background.
Carries out medical procedures following the protocols and clinical responsibilities of the department.
Recognizes methods to enhance patient care through examining, troubleshooting, and assessing clinical and systemic challenges.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

Maintain licensure/certification/registry/listing
Yearly compulsory obligations such as receiving the influenza vaccine, participating in educational sessions, and ensuring employee health

Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA license
Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers
IVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
